Created in the "eighties" by Jean Rocca, a pharmacist in Cahors and experienced glider, the Center de Vol à Voile Lotois, the only structure of its kind in the department, based at the aerodrome of Cahors-Lalbenque, has crossed time, joys and difficulties by jumping sportily from one beautiful season to another: because, without an engine, we fly mainly in spring and summer.
Flying a glider is easy, affordable, ecological and accessible to everyone, from 14 years old...
Lovers of wide open spaces and vast horizons, come and discover the joys of aerial gliding between the clouds...

Learning is self-paced. Beyond piloting, it contributes to personal development by providing a variety of knowledge such as meteorology, aerology, mechanics, electronics, navigation...
For everyone, learning to fly is a real "school of life", a theoretical and practical training that develops rigor, concentration and accountability in an environment rich in associative values.
The pilot's license is a recognized and appreciated opening, not only towards training and careers in aeronautics, but also towards many other fields.
Glider flight is practiced within the CVVL with members of all ages who share the same enthusiasm, the same joy in piloting and passing on their experience as well as their passion.
This is an activity that requires rigor, skills and efficiency, as a result the CVVL is supervised by state-qualified instructors according to theoretical and practical training (ATO-FFVP), approved by the Directorate General of Aviation Civil (DGAC).
