Organ Festival
The Organ Festival is organized by the Association of Friends of the Organ of the Cathedral of Cahors (AAOCC), main player in the musical entertainment of the Cathedral.
This year, the 30th anniversary of the restored organ will be celebrated with an exceptional program and a CD.
Ticket office: Tourist Office of Cahors
Friday, October 13, 20:30 p.m. – 22:30 p.m.: The organ and the aerial dancers. Estampie CD release concert
Aerial dancers: Noémie Deumié and Mélissa Roces Buelga
Organ: Albertus Dercksen
Marimba: Sylvain Calmon
A real spectacle! Two aerial dancers evolve along their ribbons and improvise dances to the music of the organ. The organ and the marimba sometimes interpret extracts from the Estampie CD, sometimes improvisations. On their eight-meter high portico, the aerial dancers form with the organ, imposing and static, a magical, magical and ephemeral ensemble.

Michel Bouvard holds a special place in the world of the organ. The regular releases of CDs by this discreet musician are without exception rewarded with the highest distinctions. Organist invited all over the world, the concerts he gives strike with great sensitivity, poetry and virtuosity entirely at the service of music. Michel Bouvard, a sought-after pedagogue, trained many young organists at the National Conservatories of Music in Paris and Lyon. The string orchestra, entirely formed by Lotois musicians, will be under the direction of Véronique Vermeeren, violin teacher at the music conservatory of Grand Cahors.
