market at Cahors

In the heart of the city, all year round, on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, the square of the St Etienne cathedral is adorned with its many multicolored stalls and is home to one of the most beautiful markets in the South West.

Traditional traders (butchers, greengrocers, charcutiers, etc.) rub shoulders with local producers (foie gras, “Rocamadour” goat cheese, free-range Quercy lamb, the famous apple cake called “Pastis”, etc.) and the magic happens.
The market becomes a place of meeting and conviviality where we enjoy the smells and flavors and all the senses are at the party.
People come here to do their shopping but also to stroll and soak up the local atmosphere.

Your camera will be a useful companion for unique shots of the domes of the cathedral or to immortalize the portraits of the producers.
(very nice photos to take from the alley between the pharmacy and the optician).

On the practical side: there is a large car park 200 m away located on the other side of Bd Gambetta.
