Château Lacapelle-Cabanac
The heights that dominate the Lot valley once gave a wine whose reputation went as far as the Americas. A black wine like ink, muscular, tasty... Destroyed a hundred years ago by phylloxera, its Malbec grape variety had been replanted on the more fertile soils below. A handful of winegrowers set out to reclaim forgotten lands. At the castle Lacapelle Cabanac, on the clay-limestone causse, the Cahors has finally returned to its original terroir...An organic farming estate since 2002. Certified FR-BIO-01
