Domaine de Matèle
The Domaine de Matèle is a 5-hectare vineyard located in the heart of the Causse du Quercy Regional Park on cracked limestone rocks. Its soil is essentially clay-limestone with ferruginous concretions. A great terroir of white.
The vineyard is located on the Butte St Michel, a sloping terroir at an altitude of 340m, surrounded by valleys, which gives it an exceptional microclimate.
Replanted in 1993 on a plot forgotten since the time of phylloxera (1894), the soil, exploited by the family in polyculture, has never received synthetic products. 10 years ago, Antony Janicot took over the family business.
