The Mériguet estate is located in the South West of Cahors, in the communes of Trespoux and Lacapelle, the first hillsides overlooking the Lot Valley. The vineyard covers 8 hectares, exclusively planted with Malbec. Bought in 2002 by the Janicot family, it nevertheless has old vines, planted between 1968 and 1998.
The soil at this location is of a very stony clay-limestone type, of Kimmeridgian origin with, here and there, some siderilithic veins and some ferruginous concretions.
Undoubtedly the highest terroir of the appellation, it benefits from an airy climate, allowing it to produce fresh, mineral and very fruity wines.
You can discover this wine and taste it in our shop "La Mémé du Quercy" in Valroufié.
