Your kingdom will be that of the Célé Valley, a tributary of the Lot between Saint-Cirq Lapopie et Cahors. You will live history at the bend of a path, breathe the well-being of the Lot in the heart of a causse, discover a bit of forgotten heritage during a walk and be amazed by a point of view that was waiting for you. than you to exist.
Nature or culture?
Both of course! La Vallée du Célé always gives you the choice. Between life-size landscapes and villages, caves, ecomuseum and stone castles, it's history in a setting... it's nature adorned with the most beautiful jewels.
The castles of the English, when they are dug into the cliff, will whisper in your ears epic stories, medieval tales, during which young and old will let their imagination run wild, pursuing chimeras and legends.
Swimming and picnicking, without moderation
When the hour of rest strikes, you will find the places arranged to allow you to devour your picnic. They are distributed along the river: quiet, shaded, at the edge of the water, they will invite you to swim or take a siesta, indifferently or successively.

For swimming, you will find what you are looking for: small or deeper depths for diving, pebble beaches to entertain the little ones, always looking for the most beautiful pebble... Sometimes even a large family of ducks, with the little ones following mum , will come to keep them company. Nature is everywhere and wildlife is at home. Small fish are also waiting to grow in these aquatic spaces.

English castles
Three castles are still visible today : the Devil's castle Cabrerets, the English castle of Sauliac-sur-Célé and that of Brengues. For security reasons and access difficulties, these sites are not open to the public. You can still observe them from the bottom of the valleys and admire their architecture.

The troglodyte houses
The Vallée du Célé is a surprise at every step, in the town of Cabrerets, there are pretty semi-troglodyte houses along the river. They are private, you can't go inside, but you can of course admire them from the road and take nice pictures.

The abbey of Marcilhac-sur-Célé
A treasure is hidden in the Célé Valley, a superb abbey whose 2 eardrums are the oldest in Europe! Between cliffs and rivers, you will be charmed.
Just as pretty, the priory of Espagnac-Sainte-Eulalie is also to be discovered.
