Whether for fun with family, friends or simply peaceful swimming in nature, you will be particularly charmed by the exceptional natural sites in which you will dive. Many swimming spots await you throughout the Lot valley.
In the river
The Lot and the Célé offer you a refreshing and relaxing swim surrounded by nature. There are many natural water swimming spots with impeccable water quality. Between cliffs, nature and calm, nothing better to enjoy our rivers: little corners of paradise just the way we like them!
Swimming is a right and everyone can swim in a natural environment as long as swimming is not prohibited. However, some swimming spots are official with a water quality control and sometimes even equipped and supervised beaches.
In lake
THE GREEN LAKE OF CATUS
This body of water, labeled " Blue Flag " is located very close to Catus, there is no shortage of activities: supervised swimming in summer, pedal boats, canoeing, tennis, playground... Its 7 hectares of water come from the river, the Green which gave it its name.
A bar-restaurant welcomes you from May to September. Easy to access with ample parking, toilets and a water point are on site.
The Green Lake of Catus is also popular with fishermen. They can appreciate the introduction of fish carried out by the Lot Fishing Federation. A pontoon as well as swimming equipment, a tiralo®, are available for people with reduced mobility.

MONTCUQ LAKE: SAINT-SERNIN WATER BOARD
Located in the famous village of Montcuq-en-Quercy-Blanc, the Saint-Sernin lake is accessible all year round. Like a lagoon in the heart of Quercy blanc, a true oasis in the minerality of Quercy blanc, surrounded by fields of sunflowers and forest. With its turquoise blue water, this body of water will seduce you to spend your day and even your evening there, because here everything is done to prolong your relaxation. Labeled " Blue Flag ", its water and its environment are recognized as high quality! Fishermen, swimmers and walkers are welcome around the body of water since everyone has their own access.
Also on site, a restaurant open in the evening and a snack bar as well as picnic tables and barbecues for self-catering; a water games area (paid access) and rental of stand up paddles for fun.
Swimming is supervised every afternoon in the summer, 7 days a week, from 7 p.m. to 12 p.m.
Access to the car park is payable in season from 10:00 a.m. to 18:30 p.m., per vehicle.
A handifishing station and a tiralo®, is also available for Handicapped.

The Blue Flag
The " Blue Flag " is a label signifying exemplary environmental quality and a reward for the municipality which pursues a policy of sustainable tourism development. The selection criteria are based on 4 main pillars:
- environmental education,
- the general environment,
- water management
- but also waste.
In our sector, 2 beaches benefit from this label: Le Moncuq lake et the green lake Catus.
