On departures from Cahors, Puy l'Evêque, Bouziès and Saint-Cirq Lapopie, embark on cruises to discover the Valentré bridge, the cliffs or the vineyards. You can sail on the Lot sheltered from the sun and the rain while letting you tell the story of our region.

At the foot of the Valentré bridge, 2 options are available from Cahors : a commented cruise around Cahors and a full-day dining cruise to Saint-Cirq Lapopie.

Reservation required for cruises, boats leave with a minimum of passengers.

À Cahors

Reopening from May 9, 2022

On board the Valentré boat, you will leave from the bridge and go around the city with a guide who will introduce you to the architecture and history of Cahors, in particular the monuments seen from the river: the Valentré bridge, the railway bridge, the Louis Philippe bridge, the Henri IV house, the Saint-Etienne cathedral, the King's castle, the Hanged man's tower.

You will pass the Coty lock and head towards the village of Laroque des Arcs before making a 1/2 turn.

Between Cahors et Saint-Cirq Lapopie

In summer, a day cruise with meals on board

On board the Fénelon boat in Cahors, you will leave in the morning in the direction of Saint-Cirq Lapopie for a guided tour of the Lot valley. At noon, a meal will be served. You will arrive at Saint-Cirq Lapopie in the afternoon where a guided tour will be offered. You return at the end of the day by bus.

This cruise also exists in the other direction, departing from Cahors by bus and return to St Cirq Lapopie on a boat.

At the foot of the favorite French village, board a barge to explore the Lot River, the locks and the Bouziès towpath.

Departures are from April to October at the port of Bouziès and in July/August in addition to the port of Saint-Cirq Lapopie. It is advisable to arrive 20 to 30 minutes before departure. Some cruises only operate in the summer.

To navigate at your own pace, for the day or over several days

To discover the Lot, along the water and at your own pace, nothing beats renting a small boat, for the day and the week, and taking the helm!

Permit is not required. A little training will be given to you before your departure, where you will learn how to pass the locks, then a navigation map will be provided and explained to you.

Boat rental by the day

After one hour of training, you are off on a 7-hour navigation departing from and returning from the Bouziès river port. You can stop at the nautical halts available on your route to picnic, swim or fish.

Houseboat rental for several days
