Valprionde, charm of a small picturesque village in Quercy Blanc.
South Quercy is dotted with a multitude of underground rivers. Until the beginning of the XNUMXth century, these fed many wells and fountains. That of Paillas, recently rehabilitated, was connected by a stone channel to an underground river which crosses the hill. At the capture point, a well was used to control the operation of the installation. Notably, the inhabitants had taken care to limit the section of the pipe in order to take from the river only what was necessary.
Water, a vital commodity, was never wasted.
