Circuit de Martignac

Leave Place Georges-Henry, walk along the public garden and take the path up to a large square. Cross the D 811 and go up towards the church (Gothic porch, historical monument).

Continue to a crossroads. Turn right then first left. Take the GR® 36. Cross a road; go to the crossroads with the D 28 .

Leave the GR® for a small road, on the right, going down. Take a dirt road, to the left up to the road, to follow for 300 m. At a place called "Les Lobies", turn right on a stone path that goes down to a wash house and a gariotte. Go up to the hamlet of “Martignac” (beautiful church, wall paintings, Historic Monument).

Leaving the church, join the road, heading north. Take the shady path which leads to the D 28 which you take to the right for about a hundred meters. You will find, in front of a large barn, the GR® 652.

Follow the path to “Fraysse-Haut” and 75 m after, take the path on the left. A narrow and steep path will take you to a small stone road that you will leave to cross a small bridge over the stream. Follow the right bank of the stream to the washhouse and the church of Cazes (historical monument).

Bypass the church and follow the marked path to the “Reyne” wash house. Take the “Lavandières” path to a place called “Roubert”. Continue on the road.

At the crossroads turn right, then go down to the hamlet of ''Cucas'' which you pass. Cross the bridge and immediately to the right, descend to the path below which passes under the bridge. Follow the scoop to the road.

To turn left. The first street on the right (rue Henry-Dunant) takes you to Place de la Mairie, then down the Sentier des Capucins through the hanging gardens (GR® 36) to the Lot. Following the right bank of its tributary (Les Clédelles), you will reach Place Georges Henry, your starting point.
