As its name suggests, the circuit of the two peaks will take you to the heights of Quercy Blanc.
Saint Pantaleon, physician and martyr, lived in the XNUMXrd century in Asia Minor. According to legend, he resuscitated a child bitten by a viper. This holy healer became patron of the parish, holder of the church and also gave his name to the miraculous spring which flows at the southern entrance to the village (very beautiful ensemble with fountain, washhouse and statue).
In the past, there were many pilgrims, especially on the day of the patronal feast (July 27), the source being reputed to cure “deficient” children (weak, weak), especially those who were slow to stand on their legs.
Go equipped with suitable shoes and waterproof clothing, protect yourself from the sun, bring water and find out about the weather conditions.
With your back to the church, go left and go down again to the left towards the main street. Cross it and turn right. Cross the stream and continue on the stone path alongside the houses.
Turn left to reach the hamlet of “Lapeyrière”. Cross it and, further on, turn left and go up to a side path.
Follow him to the right. Continue straight until the intersection with the D 37.
At this one, go down to the right for 350 m. Turn left and descend right into the undergrowth. Go past a lake and continue along the stream. At the place where the stream passes under the road, turn left and, in a bend, turn left along a field.
Come out on a road, turn right. At the junction with the D 12, continue to the right for 80 m and go up to the left towards “Métairie-Haute”. Cross the hamlet.
At the level of the last houses of “Métairie-Haute”, 50 m before the old oak tree, leave the tarred road and take the path on your right. Immediately at the level of the EDF post, turn right again and follow the dirt road along the crest of the hillside. Go along the dry stone wall and continue this path on a descending boxwood path which will take you to the houses of “Laroque”. Arrive on a road, turn right and pass in front of the Laroque farm. At the crossroads, leaving the cross on the right, turn left to reach the starting point.
