
Circuit du Cap de la Cévenne
Sports circuit that climbs on ridge paths and offers panoramas of the Lot valley descending along the river then in the middle of the vineyards.
Major axis of river traffic in the 13th century, the Lot was traversed by barges which, loaded with wood, wine or coal, allowed Quercy to trade with Aquitaine and other regions.
Go equipped with suitable shoes and waterproof clothing, protect yourself from the sun, bring water and find out about the weather conditions. Crossing the D 8 at point 5.
From the school parking lot Pradines. Go up to the roundabout of the D 8. Cross and take the path opposite which climbs next to a Calvary encrusted in a low wall. Lead to a crossroads of 4 paths.
Take the path in front of you. Continue and go down to a small road.
Head left on this road for 1 km. Take the path on your right. Arrived at a fork, go left towards “Les Grands Champs”. You arrive at the top of the “Pech Barreau” and the “Grands Champs”. You join the GR® 36.
Turn right towards “Cazes”, continue leaving a path on the left (horse riding track).
At the level of a telephone pole and before a curve to the left, leave the GR® to engage on the right on a path which, further on, intersects an old low wall. Follow the one on the left then continue on the ridge line. Continue on the path that descends, to join a wider path that arrives at a hamlet along old tobacco drying sheds. Leave it to go left and join the D 8 towards "Flaynac".
Cross the D 8 (caution). Take the small road opposite which leads to “Flaynac”. Follow it for 500 m to the heart of the village and continue straight at the junction towards the church. Go past the church, along the vines.
Arrived at a crow's feet, turn right towards the undergrowth. After 600 m you are on the edge of the Lot. Follow the bank for 1,5 km.
After the Marthre farm turn right, leave the banks of the Lot. You find the rows of vines. After 400 m take the small road on the left for 250 m.
Just before a vineyard house, take the path to the right. Continue along the vines to find the shade of the trees. In the undergrowth, after 300 m, turn left and find the small road.
Turn right. At the next intersection continue to reach the plain of activities. Continue straight until Pradines. Go up Rue du Puisadou then Rue Daniel Roques to the starting point. Note in passing the alleys and houses of the old Pradines and the old castle.
