To the west of the Lot, the Bouriane offers rolling landscapes with generous vegetation. Linked to the Périgord Noir by its geology and history, there is a very beautiful medieval built heritage, castles, villages and Romanesque churches of ochre stone. The paths are often flexible, rolling, and very pleasant on horseback.
This hike alternating the terroirs is never monotonous because we then arrive, on the causses of Haut Quercy with large plateaus and narrow valleys, to reach Rocamadour by the gorges of Ouysse and Alzou. We find magical places like the chasms and resurgences with crystal clear waters of St Sauveur and Cabouy.
