Museum Pech Merle - OTCVL - M.Duranceau

The Museum deepens the visit to the Grotto of Pech Merle and presents the life of men in Quercy during prehistory. Two permanent exhibitions and a 25-minute film on the cave's prehistoric paintings. Educational workshops for schoolchildren: discover through experimentation and touch the art of origins, the oldest written traces, the evolution of Man.

In July and August and during all school holidays, for the protection of the cave, the number of visitors is limited, it is necessary to reserve several days before.

The whole museum is on one level, accessible toilets.

The film allows you to see the paintings of the cavity, which is impossible to access in a wheelchair.
