Circuit which allows you to discover a green and deep valley to reach the Causse plateau, its landscapes and its villages.
Perdoux, a resident of Luzech, who died in the odor of holiness, had expressed the desire to be buried in the church of Cambayrac. His last wishes were ignored and he was buried on the hill of Impernal above Luzech. Very unhappy, he came to haunt the nights of the prior of Cambayrac who decided to go in search of his grave. He found her by a sort of miracle. His surplice having remained hanging on some brambles, he had a search there and the body of Perdoux was found, perfectly preserved.
Go equipped with suitable shoes and waterproof clothing, protect yourself from the sun, bring water and find out about the weather conditions. Delicate ford crossing in rainy weather (possible variant)
From the Cambayrac church, head towards the war memorial and turn right. Follow the main road for 500 m.
Leave the road at the cypress trees and follow a shaded path straight ahead which goes down towards the valley. Halfway up the slope, we pass the Saint-Perdoux fountain, small washhouses and oratory. Continue on a stony path until you reach a bridge. Enjoy the view of the Bourdouyre valley. On the right stands a strange silhouette: the Rock of the Giants.
Arriving in the valley, turn right onto a path lined with boxwood, then follow the Landorre valley for more than a kilometer. Continue along the banks of the stream and sometimes progress along its bed.
At the intersection with a path on the right (short alternative to reach Cambayrac. Resume the editorial at No. 9), continue to follow the stream on the left. Leave the Landorre valley to reach a road.
At this, turn left and just before the bridge take a path on the right. Take a wide passage which rises sharply to the right towards a meadow then continue to follow the bed of the stream.
Lead to a cross path. Turn left then follow the first path on the right. Follow it to the hamlet of “Pech Sec” (follow the direction “Trébaix”).
Arriving at the hamlet, turn left at a cross road. Continue for 200 m and then continue right to the hamlet of “Trébaix”. Note its beautiful XNUMXth century tower, a vestige of a Templar castle.
Go down to the right then go up following a right turn until you reach an intersection. Turn left to cross the hamlet of “la Rouquette”.
Arrive at a fork at a place called “Lapradasse”, turn right. Continue straight on a wide path. Pass a ruin and a little further on, leave the path to continue straight between vineyards and hedges. After the vineyard, turn slightly right and follow a small path through the woods until you reach a road.
Take it on the left to reach Cambayrac.
