The Classi FestivalCahors has welcomed since its creation in 2016, nearly 9000 spectators. The Festival is nourished by specific choices in terms of works, instruments and artistic programming. The public carries us and we measure the chance of being the object of their affection. Thanks to him, we are building the Festival of tomorrow. What now makes the identity of the Festival ClassiCahors can be summed up in a few words: discovery, diversity, openness.

The talent of the artists present on stage, the richness of the works chosen, arouse the adhesion of an ever more curious public.

The alliance of heritage and a quality repertoire.

It is by combining his love of music and his home department, as well as his desire for adventure that Emmanuel Pélaprat, its founder and artistic director, wishes to develop this common sharing of music.

For the past six years, very great international artists have brought musical life to magnificent places of Lot heritage, such as Saint Etienne Cathedral, the courtyard of the Archidiaconé, the Théâtre de la ville de Cahors, the Church of the Sacred Heart, the Auditorium of Grand Cahors and other places in the territory of the Grand Cahors.

Our desire is to promote beautiful music in the heart of the city of Cadurcy and also in other towns and villages of the Lot in order to include the Festival in the cultural landscape.

Over the seasons, by developing its territorial presence and perpetuating its accessible pricing policy, the Festival has forged trusting and loyal ties with its audiences while continuing its committed momentum towards younger generations and people for whom access to the music is more difficult. He has been able to develop various awareness-raising actions aimed at priority and disabled audiences and at schoolchildren.

For this seventh edition, the Classi festivalCahors will begin on July 20 with a series of 9 paid admission concerts and a tenth free Young Talents concert.
