Guided tour : Cahors ancient, bread and circuses

Founded under the Emperor Augustus in the center of a territory occupied by the Celtic people of the Cadourques, the Gallo-Roman town of Divona is located in the heart of a large meander of the Lot. Archaeological discoveries reveal an opulent city: mosaic panels, road traces, everyday objects, coins, lapidary elements... and above all the remains of three public buildings dedicated to leisure, namely the amphitheater, the thermal baths and the theater .
