Guided tour: The Valentré bridge and its surroundings

The Valentré bridge is the best-known monument in Cahors, no doubt rightly so since it is the most complete medieval fortified work of art in France. The exterior discovery of this emblematic building* is accompanied by a discovery of its surroundings: roadway, lock, towpath, resurgence of the Chartreux fountain and Maison de l'Eau (former Cabazat pumping station).
