Jean-Noël and Charmian welcome you to the Espace d'Art, located in the priory of Trégoux, a hamlet halfway between Concots et Crégols. We find there the work of the Belgian painter Roger Gobron. Born in 1899 in Brussels, Gobron was particularly influenced by the expressionist movement which he succeeded in integrating into his watercolours. Permanent exhibition of works and presentation of films on the life and work of the painter and his wife – the poet Marie-Jo Gobron (1916-2008) – who was the sister-in-law of the famous poet Maurice Carême. There are also collections of poems, the monograph and catalog of works, DVDs and photographs of filmmaker Jean-Noël Gobron. Visits only by appointment

Born in 1899 in Brussels, where he took violin and painting lessons, he died in Bruges in 1985. Gobron was notably influenced by the expressionist movement which he succeeded in integrating in a quite remarkable way in his many watercolours. Permanent exhibition of paintings, presentation of films on the life and work of the painter and his wife - the poet Marie-Jo Gobron (1916-2008), who was the sister-in-law of the famous poet Maurice Carême - readings and collections of poems, monograph and catalog raisonné of works, anthologies, books, photographs and various objects. There are also DVDs of films and photographs of Jean-Noël Gobron, their filmmaker son.
