1000 Hands in the Dough for the GR65 – Edition 2024 (In Quercy Blanc)

When the path unites people and enters into the daily lives of residents….
Every year, on the first Saturday in October, some 1 volunteers come together to make improvements on this legendary route: clearing bushes, restoring dry stone walls and small heritage sites, etc., over the 500 km crossing of the Lot, from Montredon before Figeac, up to Montlauzun after Montcuq, passing through Limogne et Cahors
Maintaining this UNESCO-listed property makes us all the true guardians of this heritage and its values.

Program

The 9th operation "1000 hands in the dough" on Saturday October 2 from Figeac to Montcuq via Limogne et Cahors prepares .
This historic path has experienced many events, crises, epidemics, wars, revolutions over the centuries, and it has always allowed the journeyers to get through all these difficult times.

We always count on all these volunteers who use the beautiful paths of the Lot (hiking, equestrian, mountain bikers, etc.) to highlight this extraordinary heritage, listed as a world heritage site under the Camino de Compostela. There are still low walls to rebuild, small heritage to highlight, clearing to renew...

Bring work clothes, gloves, good shoes and drinks, as well as tools such as pruning shears, pickaxe, brush cutter, etc.
