Visit Puy-l'Evêque and the Lot valley without a car

From by bus Cahors (Gare SNCF, de Gaulle stops) towards Puy-l’Evêque with line 891 – Vire-sur-Lot > Luzech > Cahors . Price: €2.  
This line passes through the pretty medieval villages of Luzech and Albas, along the Lot river located in the heart of the vineyards of Cahors. 

Take the bus of the same line again to arrive at lunch time at Puy-l'Eveque.  

Passage to Vinoltis (Puy-l’Evêque Tourist Office) which houses a scenographic space around the vineyard of Cahors and a garden with a magnificent view of the medieval village. Here you can ask reception for the tour plan which guides you to the most beautiful streets and monuments of the old districts of Puy-l’Evêque.  

Back to Cahors with the bus line 890 ou 891

Another option, departure from Cahors, on foot, to reach Puy-l’Evêque by the GR36 (52 km):  
 
This long-distance hiking route passes through Douelle with its largest contemporary art mural in Europe and the pretty village of Saint-Vincent-Rive-d’Olt. It crosses the Lot at Luzech (nautical base in Caïx) to continue on the right bank. Here the GR36 takes you through Castelfranc (beach on the banks of the Lot) and Prayssac (very beautiful Friday morning market) before arriving at Puy-l'Eveque.  
You have the option to continue until Bonaguil Castle (a fortified castle open to visitors) passing through Duravel (Romanesque church and its crypt) and the small picturesque village of Saint-Martin-le-Redon.
