Our Service

The guest room must be located in the house or apartment of the inhabitant.

Renting a guest room includes overnight stay and breakfast.

The reception is provided by the inhabitant. It cannot rent more than 5 rooms per dwelling, nor accommodate more than 15 people. Each guest room gives access to a bathroom and a toilet.

The inhabitant can also offer meals to his guests. Only one menu must be proposed and composed of dishes, preferably from the region. The meal must be taken at the family table in the company of the inhabitant.

If the table d'hôtes service offers alcoholic beverages, the operator must hold a restaurant or drinking establishment license. The sale of non-alcoholic beverages is free and not subject to licensing.

The housing tax:

It applies to premises rented as bed and breakfast because they are part of the lessor's personal home.

The use, like the destination of the premises, remaining the dwelling, there is no change of use or destination to be made. 

The table d'hôtes service:

If the meal includes alcoholic beverages, the operator must hold a restaurant or liquor license. The sale of non-alcoholic beverages is free and not subject to licensing. 

The license can be requested from your town hall. To do this, you must first obtain an operating permit (valid for 10 years), which is obtained after having followed a dedicated training course.

Prior declaration in town hall 15 days before the start of the activity. UMIH 46 offers this type of training.

Taxation :

The bed and breakfast activity falls under the tax regime of supplementary accommodation, and not that of furnished rentals.

Consequently, income must be declared for income tax under one of the following regimes:

If your income is less than €305, you will not pay any tax.

Faced with the growing number of offers, the customer needs to feel reassured: qualification is the assurance of having to deal with accommodation that has been verified by a tourism professional.

The qualification Bed and Breakfast Reference proposed by Atout France, is based on a grid of criteria. It guarantees compliance with standards, the quality of reception and the services provided. Qualification is valid for 5 years.

Prerequisites, commitments and benefits of the brand

Hike Stage

It is intended for accommodation structures that have set up suitable services to accommodate non-motorized hikers who practice roaming: pedestrians, horseback riders, cycle tourists, mountain bikers.  

The Agence Fromementale du Tourisme (ADT) has set up this specific welcome charter, to which the stopover lodgings meeting the departmental reference system (cited above) can claim.  

The prerequisites for obtaining the “Rando Etape” qualification are:

  • Be located less than 2 km from a long-distance hiking route or an equestrian trail
  • Be open at least 6 months continuously
  • Have a minimum capacity of 6 beds

Home Horse

The Lot Equestrian Tourism Association is in charge of qualifying establishments that meet the Accueil Cheval Charter. This guarantees the horseback rider a place of reception for his horses, at least equipped: 

  • Attachment points: bar, rings, rope or chain with retainers
  • Fenced parks without barbed wire
  • Water points at the finish and in the paddocks
  • From a shower point
  • A sheltered room for storing saddlery equipment
  • Quality hay
  • Accommodation on site or nearby

Fishing accommodation

The Hébergement Pêche label is a national label which is granted by the Fédération Cheesementale de Pêche and the Protection of the Aquatic Environment and the Lot Tourist Offices.

It is intended for accommodation offering services and facilities for a clientele of fishermen.

It must be located near a place of interest for fishing.

Accueil Vélo

Accueil Vélo is a national brand intended for professionals offering services and facilities adapted to cycle travelers, and offering a quality welcome along cycle routes.

In the Lot, the "La Vallée du Lot à Vélo" cycle route (route V86, from La Canourgue in Lozère to Aiguillon in Lot et Garonne), is currently the only route referenced for the deployment of the brand.

The trademark is therefore granted by Lot Tourisme following a technical visit which makes it possible to assess the benchmark criteria :

  • Be located less than 5 kilometers from the route
  • Have suitable equipment and services such as a secure bike shelter, a repair kit, bike rental, circuits available, luggage transport, etc.
  • Offer a specific welcome to cyclists: useful information and advice, routes, weather forecast, etc.

Vineyards & Discoveries

The Vignobles et Découvertes label is awarded for a period of 3 years by Atout France, on the recommendation of the Superior Council of Wine Tourism. According to a standard of use, its primary objective is to facilitate the organization of a stay for wine tourists in the labeled destination, by promoting all the service providers who offer a qualified service. Integrating the Vignobles et Découvertes label allows you to be part of a network of wine tourism professionals, to have visibility on national and international markets, and to benefit from advice, support for setting up a project, etc.

The Vignobles et Découvertes certification standard is based on that of Qualité Tourisme, a label that values ​​the quality of the services offered by a service provider.
