1924 – 2024: Virebent’s 100th anniversary: “Worker’s Eye” exhibition

To the left of the avenue of plane trees which leads to the factory, the house of the founders of Virebent porcelain is still standing. Henry and his partner Noëlla lived there from 1926 and spent the rest of their lives there. It is in the context of this “haunted” house, deliberately left in its original state, that the “Worker’s Eye” exhibition is held. It offers a selection of more than 600 photos captured by Virebent employees past and present, to reflect their experience in the company. The photos taken in different formats (the smallest are inspired by the negative formats of old photo films, in A1 format) are grouped by theme: that of the hand, that of the workshop, of details, materials and textures, life at the company, wefts and patterns of lka manufacturing, tools, portraits... through collage thread distributed in the 120 m² of a decor which reinforces their emotional impact, between nostalgia and fascination, for a "humanity "linked by the same passion.
