1924 – 2024: 100 years of Virebent: Inauguration of the new museum

It is a completely redesigned museum that visitors to the Virebent factory will discover this summer. Larger, it immerses itself in the powdery and studious atmosphere of the workshops onto which it opens large windows. “We wanted to awaken curiosities and arouse emotions that do not need to be explained,” explains Vincent Collin. Around Saint-Joseph, the company's first coal-fired kiln, various paintings and sketches return through the object, the image and the testimonies on its history and its know-how, from industrial glory to the age of or design, to the laboratory of excellence that it has become today.
An archive film from the 60s takes us back to the creative excitement of those years. Another retraces, in 30 minutes, without any sound illustration other than the noise of manufacturing, the production stages currently at work in the workshops, the only ones in France to jointly master the techniques of porcelain, earthenware, stoneware , stucco, enamelling and spraying with pure gold.
