Workshops Days at MA Nature

The nature camp spaces at Pern, on the old farm where I grew up, are the places where all the activities are organized. The tipi sits on the central square of the camp, it is from there that I offer activities and entertainment for families and children, in simplicity and sharing...in the heart of nature.

Program

Plant dyeing workshop: May 6 – June 10
Discovery of vegetable dyeing on cotton or linen. We will test several plants that we all have on hand and also the colorfast colors of recognized dye plants. We will experiment with shading, we will be able to learn the recipe for mordant, or even the shibori technique for our greatest amusement!

Ecoprint workshop: May 11 – June 15
We will pick the plants that nature offers us. Then we will make plant prints on cotton or linen using the Ecoprint technique, based on the compression of plants, passage in baths and their heating.

Tatakizomé AND Cyanotype workshop: May 20 – June 17
1 day 2 techniques!
We will print the plant prints using the Tatakizomé technique then we will test other prints with the cyanotype technique, a photographic process on a blue background.
