The 16 hectares of vineyards of the castle Lamagdelaine (ancestor of Malbec) are located on either side of the Gallo-Roman aqueduct, on the right bank of the Lot, near Laroque des Arcs. The vine has prospered in this place for almost 2000 years and has made the fortune of many brokers located in the surrounding area.
There are 3 types of terroirs: a cone of limestone scree, gravel (3rd terraces) and siderilithic clay, all facing south-south-east bringing a lot of freshness to the wine.
The estate produces very deep, black, intense, very aromatic wines, on fresh plums at a young age, which evolve into old plums.
You can discover this wine and taste it in our store “La Mémé du Quercy” in Valroufié
