A natural experience to live!
Lots of family memories
Everything in its time, time for everything, everything to please me…. Yes, I will like this stay. Come on, I choose the family escape to Cahors and in the Lot Valley. …a few weeks later and with many more memories…
There were activities for the whole family. We spent our holidays together often, independent sometimes without constraints, there was something for everyone, for the whole family, everyone found their activity, their center of interest. It was even good vacation for the dog with us.
First, the weather was nice, not too hot, not too dry, not too humid, nothing too much, a balanced weather. With the river, bodies of water, swimming pools, the freshness was there, but we get wet when we want, if we want. We were able to prepare our program in complete freedom: inside or outside, it was always possible.
A bath in nature
In addition, enjoying the outdoors was a real pleasure, with nature awakening at this time: the wisteria in flower cascading, the rose bushes blooming and releasing their aromas in the sweetness of the sunny afternoons, the Wild orchids appear along walking and hiking trails.
Outdoor sports holidays
Walking - or running for the more sporty - in this nature was a constant pleasure. There are routes of all levels, with more or less long duration. We feel that hiking in the great outdoors is their business in Cahors - Lot Valley. We discover there small heritage, exceptional points of view, corners of nature so calm and preserved; we hear the birds singing cheerfully. We recharge our souls. There were even short, flat walks to do with the youngest toddler.
Meanwhile, the biggest, cycling enthusiast, was riding on the greenway or the bike routes. He was enjoying the landscapes, but faster than us with his good pedaling and despite the slopes. Everyone at their own pace, a vacation for everyone.
Well-being for everyone
At times, I also took time for myself and went to relax in the jacuzzi of our accommodation. I was even able to take a yoga class: there are so many options for relaxation or yoga workshops that I was able to find the perfect class and time in our active, but also relaxing, vacation program.
Gastronomy and short circuit
Of course, the whole family gathered arounda good meal. It was essential: we always need a dose of gastronomy for a successful vacation. And in this region, there are many good dishes, pure products too, all in a short supply chain. You meet a goat in the afternoon, you eat its cheese in the evening: the famous rocamadour, which they also call cabécou, it's the peasant name.
À Cahors and in the Lot Valley, gastronomy is a serious affair, always lived with good humor. They willingly share their recipes, always have a good restaurant address ou tavern to recommend to you, local products to help you discover, and of course, a glass of wine to taste: the wine of Cahors, But also of the Coteaux du Quercy, from the coasts of the Lot.
So there are never enough meals to taste everything, taste everything, discover everything. Here, the products that we taste, we see them before in nature, during manufacturing on the farms for example, and afterwards on the plate. It reconnects us to healthy eating.
Rest under the stars
Well, then you have to move… or take a nap! It's so calm, so soothing that sleeping becomes a pleasure, a passion even, always a need. Nature rocks us. We want to enjoy everything and its opposite. Because the night also offers its share of experiences: a magnificent starry sky, without either atmospheric or light pollution. It's a beautiful, poetic and unprecedented journey into the stars assured.

And for visits, there is also a choice: prehistoric caves -with real original paintings-, a pterosaur beach, Phosphatières du Cloup d’Aural, cruises on the Lot River, the abyss of Padirac et Rocamadour nearby, furnished castles, guided tours with passionate, funny, exciting tour guides. Everyone is professional, but everyone is having fun, them and us, together. We feel that they are all happy to welcome us.
Spring break full of surprises
In any case, all in family was happy to this spring break, full of surprises, nature. We could disconnect and reconnect us all together. We shared special moments, lived our respective passions, everyone was able to have fun and above all we made a lot of good memories together. To do again, very quickly.
