1924 – 2024: 100 years of Virebent: “Variations Virebent” exhibition

Within the walls of the former factory concierge, the "Variations Virebent" exhibition offers the opportunity to discover pieces from the collections of Alain Bardin and Bénédicte Wattel, dedicated to ceramics produced by Virebent between the 1970s and 1980s, true commercial and aesthetic golden age of the company.
Just like the book “Variations Virebent” by the two collectors, the exhibition is an invitation to daydream through signs that are both serious and fanciful. The visitor is led to discover the imaginary country of Virbanie, and to take a journey punctuated with the emotions and anecdotes felt by the collectors. The idea is to show as many of the aesthetic proposals of the artists who collaborated with the factory and its director at the time, Philippe Paré. The vases are shown by families of shapes or families of decorations in numerous variations. The collections are thus mixed to enhance Virebent creations and show the richness of the variations.
